The Day of Thunder

"Do you remember the fireworks?" she asked. "I may have a seizure any time I see flashes. But, it can also happen when I feel stressed or overwhelmed. It's not the same as losing an arm, I know. But, it worries me."

"We all feel that. I think that's part of the problem." She stared at the shrine. "We're waiting for the darkness to descend upon us and assume that anything good is suspicious. Worse, we assume we're all of the same mind."

"I considered sitting with Chouri myself."

She would here the sound of someone approaching. Nao wasn't silent. She wasn't very fast, either.

"You forgot me." She said as she drew closer. "It's okay. I'm used to it."

Nao stepped forward. "Direct your frustration at me, Yukara-san. You are of my family. For your safety, I should have advised you. I was hoping it would work and that there would be no complications, but I should have done more than hope."

Nao continued to watch Yukara. She had many, many questions. The first, however, was what would happen next?

"Probably." she sighed. "Things will only get more dangerous before this is over."

I was going to join both, but you may be right.

"That's an interesting idea." Nao said as she approached. "That some of us might represent the Guardians."

"I think that's what all of us are wondering." she nodded. She looked down at her pig here. "Except for San here. The best we can do is prepare ourselves for anything that may come for us."

In regards to making the scrolls. The example given in the description of the Transmute spell is a wooden desk being turned into fire. The limit given is that complex items with multiple parts can't be transmuted, though individual parts (such as a wagon axel) can. Is that true in reverse? Can I tak...

It was hard to tell what time it was. It was likely dawn, as the darkness of night was receding. But, the fog obscured any sense of sunrise. She nodded. "Regardless of why, we're here, it's for the best. It's an unusual and dangerous place, but it's also very important. It's good that we came here, even if we wish we hadn't."

"I heard rumors of people coming here, and felt that it was worth looking into." she said. "I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this."

"How did you come here, Akodo-san?" she asked. "Were you asked to come? Did you follow others? Or, were you simply drawn here?"

"I'll hold on to it then, if you truly don't mind." She picked it up again. "My sister would be interested in it, I'm sure. If you decide you want it back, I'll return it, of course. If anyone else here got one, they may have a better idea of what's in it."

"Honestly, Akodo-san, I don't know." She admitted as she set the potion down. "I'm not the herbalist my sister is. I don't detect anything obviously bad. But, determining the individual ingredients will take time, and may not be possible."

"I was more aware of my dreams and could influence them. But, only to a limited degree." She shrugged. "It may have been different for each of us."

I was wondering if Transmute could be used to turn pure elements into scroll materials.

"Ah, I tried one of his teas last night." She sniffed the bottle. "I'm not sure it had the effect we were looking for, but I did sleep well."
