Re: [D5, EA] Back on Track

He smiled at that. It was a beautiful dream, winning.

Though, he didn't think he would ever want to trade his cynicism for Kumori's confidence. It wasn't his style.

"You're right", he said eventually. "We will, as long as we're prepared to do what it takes."

Re: Patients, Please!!!! D5, LE

"You know, fighting something strong enough to pulp one's head sounds exactly like how a man associated with the Order of Heroes should leave ningen-do", Norikage observed. "It must have been stressful for everyone else there, certainly, but I imagine the monk was living his best life."

Ai raised an eye at the brazen words... but made no further comment.
That was okay. Norikage had her back from the muttered Lord Moon's Beard... she barely caught after, perhaps seeing the Scorpion rubbing his face.

Re: Purification of the Form [D5, EE, Event]

After watching Yukara take her leave finally, Norikage also returned to where he had stood before. He gave Chouri a look, gauging her On. He didn't seem disappointed, but he did seem uncertain. He would watch the rest of this and think it over.

Re: [D5, EA] Back on Track

He seemed to consider her words for a moment. "I will, but in this place...there's words we can say and meaning we can give, but after the thunder blooms across the sky all that will remain are the memories of what happened. I'm not planning on leaving regrets here, but all I can do is face whatever...

angry cat things He didn't get it, but he could do something. Even if maybe he shouldn't. A few swift steps after Yukara got his hand on her shoulder. Another two saw him next to her as she stormed away. He was looking at her with a strange excitement he possibly didn't quite grasp himself. He whis...

Re: Purification of the Form [D5, EE, Event]

As Norikage entered the garden he heard the raised and lowered voices, with comments both terse and calm. Worse, he recognized all of them. He should have shown up sooner, then he'd at least understand why people were so damned fussy. Stepping past another guest or two, he found himself near enough ...

Re: Dinner Al Fresco [Day 5, Mid-Evening, Super-Open]

Norikage watched the interaction between the Crane and village head, then the Nezumi. He kept his distance where he sat, smoking. It all seemed pleasant enough. Though he hadn't spoken to her in some days, he still didn't really plan to. She seemed busy. Plus he was certain she might get grey hairs ...

Re: Patients, Please!!!! D5, LE

"Well no shit", Norikage snorted. "You'd almost think there was some malevolent force at work trying to screw everything up for us", he said, pouring on the sarcasm. He smirked then. "Don't let it bother you though, you've been in worse situations than this from what I hear, Hisomu-san."

Re: Patients, Please!!!! D5, LE

"...?" He didn't see her statement as particularly wrong, considering where she seemed to be coming from. Though the presence of samurai in the village likely complicated their resource management. Maybe he'd ask around tomorrow. Still. "So...she's not going to help keep watch after complaining that...

Re: Patients, Please!!!! D5, LE

Yep. Hisomu-san said it was likely an attack from their dreams. Definitely Harbinger fuckery. Makes sense. He kept at it, but was available for questions or comments. He would need to get his arm looked at as well. "Seems like they know these kinds of things happen already", he said thoughtfully. "...

He nodded along to that. "You will, it would be regrettable to let these good looks leave ningen-do early. I should at least live long enough to squander them."

Re: [D5, EA] Back on Track

"All the mastery of Bayushi's technique is largely lost on me due to having viciousness beaten into my bones as a child, yeah", he said. "There's no problem you can't solve by taking punches to the face and hitting back harder, apparently." He rested a hand inside his kimono. "Though mixing the two ...

Re: Patients, Please!!!! D5, LE

"Hisomu-san seems to know something about what may have happened to them", he indicated Reo with a head gesture. His eyes shifted toward Yumi for a moment and he looked back to Kumori, giving a nod. Then he went to investigate the house a bit, to see if he could trace back the events that happened t...

"I thought you were just copying the style at first", he admitted. "One of my teachers had experience against Kakita-dono and thought his method was worth teaching. Though I admit most of all it has done for me is make my draw flashier."

"Hisomu-san, check Enrou-san if you can!" Norikage tied up the guard securely through their chaotic thrashing, then dashed to pick up another rope and ready it to help secure more threats. Simple Action, tie up guard: 36 Free Action, move to another rope. Free Action, pick up said other rope. Simple...

Re: Dinner Al Fresco [Day 5, Mid-Evening, Super-Open]

Well, it was becoming a party after all. Not just villagers but more and more samurai caste as well. He thought it was good. This is what Kumori wanted, and he felt Ojichan was of the same mind. He smoked his pipe and watched for a bit, but didn't ignore the others, he gave Tae-soo a nod in greeting...

"Better to be lucky than skilled", he answered easily. "Better to be charming than proper." A grin. "By the way, what method does your school teach?" he asked, tilting his head at her sword. "Or is it all just you figuring it out as you go?"
