I'm well aware the Lion had a period were the Story Team thought the best way to prove Moto Chagatai was the biggest baddest boy on the block was to let him kill multiple Lion Champions and the Shogun. Worf Effect at it's finest.

I think this will be a postgame drama most likely.
That said, Yukara has purged corrupted villages before - she'd have a tougher time doing it now, but that wouldn't stop her from trying if she found proof the village was truly beyond saving.
