Sniff-sniff to check how corrupted she may be too, yes-yes?
Yes-yes!

Oh, should set up some threads for healing and getting Names. Checking with Birb on if Chuchu can heal Curse of Yume-do.

Can Chuchu also remove fatigue? :D

removing fatigue will be good. and void point replenishment.

Don't really care about the curse nonsense, i'm done saving void for sleep events I won't likely pass even with it.

Time to sleep in extra I guess. Be a decadent princess or something.

Yep, and Corruption AND Curse of Yume-do as well. ^^

Here's the thread! MM in the Imperial Camp so everyone should have a reason to stop by for it. If you're worried about future healing getting her your Name ahead of time is good too.

Not calling dibs, but as a note for the combat, which often starts while I'm sound asleep, Sora is an Earth 4 Forest Killer, so if anyone fancies a damage sponge... loop me in.

Gonna be real awkward to attend the evening-picnic after folks regrow their limbs Early Evening. :?

Eh, we can just turn any crab claws or tentacles into sashimi, shouldn't be a big deal...

I mean if you want to feed the villagers their own tainted limbs...

I'll watch.

The more I think on it the more I realize the cold truth:

Makime is not going to let Chouri live past her usefulness. And to be blunt she will probably flat out say you execute the traitor or you kill a Lion daimyo trying to see Imperial Justice done.

Give her a spear and send her to the combat thread.

She has to at least live long enough to make sure the ritual goes off, even if her advice is potentially fruit from a poison tree.

There's also the small matter of the village full of people who wouldn't recognize our jurisdiction in killing their leader.

Probably best left until the endgame.

The ritual and Jigoku are dealt with first.

As for the village I wonder if they will be so eager after they learn their headwoman's crimes.

Didn't Chouri said she basically created a cult for the Harbinger?

So we pretty much have a doomsday/corrupted cult sitting here... sounds more like something to be burned to the ground, then salt the earth, before asking the kami to purify it to the point nothing will grow (suddenly Kuni Wastes in the middle of the Empire). :?

EDIT: It does strike something more as an "After we kill Harbinger+Champion"-problem though. But like... this village isn't looking too good.

EDIT EDIT: Just wanted to clarify that this isn't just some regular every day cult that we know IRL. This is literally dooming someone's eternal soul to Jigoku (by how taint works) and removing them from reincarnation, which is a reality in L5R. So all over very very bad.

Oh good, the chat in the morning won't be as rough as I feared

Yeah, about that... unless we get her to tell them, they'd likely not believe us. And if it seems coerced, they probably still won't believe it. Per Chouri herself, these people aren't exactly going to be logical about things.

AND we need her to try and talk Enrou down too.

But for the OOC record, Sora is onboard with the broad idea of bringing her to justice. He just needs us all to survive the week first...

EDIT: That said, given the troweling on of redemption messages in the game (for god's sake, Hadananzi appears to have turned over a new leaf), and Chouri's own words, most of the villagers don't actually know what they've been doing. So massacring them when the smoke clears is probably what you might call obscenely bad karma.

At very least they must be checked for taint.

Everyone needs one tainted/evil anti-hero helping them kill a champion of Jigoku.

“Fight like Tadaka.”

You mean, "try one thing and get killed by your own spell, because <insert lengthy boring, repetitious and whiny rant about how AEG handled the Phoenix>"?

I remember Tadaka being a badass in the Fu Leng fight in the books. Lasting longer than anyone… Toturi watching Tadaka fight and that energizing him to stand up and do the deed.

But… It’s been a long while since I read any of that.
