Kenji offered a polite nod towards Hoto-Hori before rising up and beginning to make another batch of porridge. He'd cleared the bowl once already after all, and adding more than what one might need just meant he'd be better prepared for any other arrivals. He perked up a bit as Anjing mentioned port...

The Daimyo's speech was impressive and while he could try and drum up something equally as impressive he didn't bother. Instead merely raising a hand in a sort of greeting and saying.

"Akodo Kenji."

"It's good tea." Kenji offered helpfully as it seemed the Daimyo wasn't too concerned with the matter.

"I can throw on some more porridge too if you like." He added a moment later.

"Do you mind me asking what your art is exactly then?" Maybe painting? From what he knew painters liked to find new subjects and locations to paint, so it made some sense.

On a typical day Kenji didn't think much about the spiritual at all, but he wasn't going to argue the point either so he left it where it was.
