The Day of Thunder

As things begin to wind down of all the varied blessings and offerings, Kyosei slows from his frantic writing, and sprinkles a bit of sand on the paper, to allow the ink to dry right. Then, he begins to put things away. He still keeps an ear out for anything else he should note down before he sleeps...

"I do truly hope so. Ahhh. Well, I think I am suitably warmed up now. I bid you a good day! I must continue, and see that my pony gets it's evening meal." He starts to gather himself to leave the warm water enveloping the pair.

Kyosei had barely been able to keep his eyes open, and dropped to sleep easily. Unlike the previous night, he did not have a nightmare. Kyosei, as another Imperial, who knew he was too old to go on this quest, did not join the line, or stand behind Nozomi. Instead, he carried in a large rock, placed it, and kneeled behind it, revealing it had a large flat surface. He pulled out some papers, ink, and a brush, and prepared to try to k...

On seeing another working with stone, Kyosei returned to his wagon for a few moments, then returned with his own, very nice and complete, stone working tools. He noted the pattern she was making, and began trying to follow it his self. Then, he stopped, and dropped a quick little prayer to the stone...

"There are old scrolls here? I will try to gain access. One of my minor concerns is the library system of the Emperor. I would love to read, study, or hopefully copy those scrolls."

"Not as yet. Now that I'm in a village with some seasoned wood, with enough time, even I might be able to fix a proper one. At least, good enough to make it to the nearest proper town." He looks closer at her. "Attacks? What attacks?"

Kyosei's eyebrows rose. "Truly? This is news. I had not thought any from my tribe had come this direction. I knew a few went to the north, but not down here. This is worth investigating."
