"Very well." She set down an empty cup and stood, bowing deeply to them. "I'll leave you to the tasks that remain. I hope all goes well and that your travels will be uneventful."

"There are several family members here." she nodded. "I will go see him, but others should have their time first."

"There's always more to do." She nodded. "If there's anything I can do for you, please let me know. I'll be going back up to the shrine to check on things up there.""

"We were trapped within that area of Yume Do." She finally explained. "I didn't know what was happening anywhere else. I couldn't come here or visit any other realm. Is everything alright?"

"I should probably speak to him myself. I am the primary Bat here." she shrugged. "That's a new experience."

She nodded. "I don't think any of us were surprised by Zhe's choice. He was always going to stand by her. That's going to become a romantic legend."

"We lost two, nearly three." Her eyes drifted over the shrine. "By a miracle, Ai was brought back to us. And, I survived by literally a hair's breadth. But, Kenji. I didn't even see it happen."

I know people are considering goals that will directly influence the evolution of the setting. But, I'm curious as to more general thoughts and ideas of what people hope to see. This is just to share what we would like to see, with no expectation of anything coming from it. I'd like to see the heavy...

"Was anyone lost in the fight with her?"

"I wish I had seen that." Her smile grew. "From the moment she confronted me in Yume Do, I felt that she deserved every once of pain we could inflict on her."

"I wasn't conscious at the end, but I like to imagine the Dream of Jigoku desperately flailing as the others brought him down." She smiled.

Zakyo Toshi?

"And so will we." she responded. "That's why they're so interested in humans, our ability to adapt and grow. That potential is almost unlimited. Corrupting it is a terrifying idea."

"Yeah." she nodded. "Hopefully, we won't be a part of whatever that will be. I really don't want to go through any of that again."

"I... I couldn't reach you, while I was in there." She began to break down. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have ran off on my own."

She held them both tight.

It's something the Bat could do, I just don't want to step on any toes. It's much closer to Dragon and Crab. It would also make sense for one of the monk orders to watch over it.

I hope someone does something with the village and shrine. That seems like it should be a Dragon or Crab thing, or monks or even a Minor Clan or something. I'm not sure if we'll get Minor Clans the same way this time around, or at all. I do like the idea of the Bat expanding their focus to deal with...
