She observed the monks quizzically but pleasant smile. She didn't understand the reference but their antics were entertaining enough, they were definitely old friends of a sort.

One of them looked toward her. "How is your family doing, Nanzi-sama?"

Kichi actually laughs at that. "Not a great idea. I appreciate the thought, though."

Kichi finds himself sitting back and listening, smiling a little as he listens to them talk about Sora's daughter's future.

Kichi bows, as well. "Thank you, Wu-sama."

"Children..." Kichi sighed.

"You make things too much of a hassle sometimes, Ukyou-sensei."

"It's probably more like, 'Here's what I can give you without potentially ruining your chances by messing with things too much,'" Kichi offered.

"Fresh air and exercise, " Kichi added.

"I guess I'm not old," Kichi agreed. "This one's old as dirt, though. His smooth skin makes him look young."

"As far as that goes... I'm supposed to treat this as a new life. Which is for the best, I think, as much as I might like otherwise."

"... We didn't meet under the best of circumstances. So, I wouldn't say we're friends," Kichi said, looking distant. "Following his teachings through Ukyou-sensei has been an unexpected change."

The tall, dark man, apparently Kichi, rolled his eyes at Ukyou's antics. He does bow to everyone, though. "Jiyo-sama, Wu-Sama, Doji-sama." His bow to Ai is a little deeper.
