D5 - EA - Childrens' Games and Self-Reflection (Wide-Open)

by Nozomi
Nozomi had left a message up, a posting that anyone who wished or felt comfortable meeting her in the gardens. For the moment, she was seated in a meditative posture. There were bags under her eyes for the first time since she'd arrived at this town. She wasn't exhausted, but the night's dreams had been... very old, very familiar to her and not in a good way. Sleep had taken more time than it ever had before.

Still, she sat there quietly in her pose on a rock, waiting to see if anyone came long. The lesson she had in mind was an old one, but hopefully a good one.

(OOC: Going to be going to bed soon, but feel free to pop in if you want.)

Ukyou is with her, along with Kichi.

In keeping with his established practice, Sora was also there, even though his track record for meditation left much to be desired.

Goju came along, not quite sure what to expect. He wasn't good with monk stuff.

A little nezumi shows up as well! She patters over to sit between Sora and Goju, tail wagging.

Naraku answered the call and made his way to the garden. He seemed different, lighter and unburdened.

Still groggy, Akutou finds his way to the gardens again.

A general touch of the hat-brim is made as he arrives and rather flops down, looking more like he collapses than that he takes a seat.

He does manage a small smile for Chuchu, however.

There was much silence for such a meeting. Was the new Little Teacher going to speak at all?

In that, Kai was supposing Little Teacher was a title that moved on, with every head monk being Little Teacher, even if they weren't small, or that good of a teacher. Mortals come and go, but there would always be a Little Teacher, same way there would always be an Emperor. Or Guardians.

Hikaru was there, waiting to see what was going to be said.

Kumori was also here. She looked around the gathering and nodded greetings to those who met her gaze.

Ai was present seated and playing her shamisen as was her usual wont… was music bad for meditation? This was too beautiful a moment to allow dismal silence.

But she played softly.

Kenji was present, but not for whatever was going on here. As he stood armed and armored off to the side. Shinsei had apparently not shown himself yet, but that did not mean the Lion was going to let where he fled go unwatched.

Akutou's one, and he touches the brim of his hat with a deep inclination of his head to her.

Afterward, he yawns extravagantly and muses "So, saw th' note on th' pole. What's th' game?"

“I’m not too sure myself… A bit of self-reflection and… Guidance I suppose.” She said.

“I hope you are well.”

"A bit tired, ma'am," Akutou admits, "but else good. Trust th' same's true f'r you. Hope so, anyway, 'specially after what I heard you done yesterday."

He grins. "Quite th' example you've put down f'r others t' take up."

Naraku gave Ai a sidelong glance, his gaze lingering for a brief moment, taking a moment to admire her and her music. His heart raced as he looked at her, but he was fast enough to compose himself and avert his look.

Seeing Akutou and the Deceitful Canary speaking he decided to approach them, gesturing a greeting once he approached them.

"Akutou-san, Lady Shiba," he smiled at both once he was near them. "I hope today finds you well."

Akutou touches the brim of his hat to the Hiruma.

"Sir," he says. "Good comp'ny makes things better."

He gives the slightest grin.

"Music don't hurt none, either."

Curiously enough the six foot crab was not particularly inconspicuous. He blushed slightly and cleared his throat.

"You are right Akutou-san. Some say music is the food for the soul," he said noncommittally trying to avoid that particular topic. His eyes turned towards the monk, the woman that had healed him a few days back. "Is there any news of the Little Teacher?"

“Hiruma-san.” Kumori replied with a warm smile and a nod of her head.

“I heard you have been quite successful in tracking down information… You do your family proud and I’m glad to see you.”

"Hadn't heard any," Akutou replies.

"Have you, ma'am?"
