The Day of Thunder

[Anjing]

"Hoto-Hori dear, have you been getting high on dodgy mushrooms?"
Anjing tisks gently.

"Is that why you've been the only one sleeping well?"

[Yuzuru Hoto-Hori]

"No. Did once, ages ago . . . . never again. I walked into a pond and thought it was a bath."

He let them imagine what had happened from there on.

[Akodo Kenji]

"That sounds unpleasant." Kenji replied with a frown. "Though I suppose it could of been worse."

He frowned. "But now ik curious if someone in this town is selling drugs of some sort."

[Anjing]

"No. Did once, ages ago . . . . never again. I walked into a pond and thought it was a bath."

He let them imagine what had happened from there on.

"It could have been worse, you could have walked into a bath and thought it was a pond. Might have caused a commotion.

He frowned. "But now ik curious if someone in this town is selling drugs of some sort."

"They certainly seem happy for give them away for free. At least it was only something mild...this time."

Anjing looks at the other two.
"I have thus far avoided most of the people in the village. What do you make of them?"

[Akodo Kenji]

"I've not done much in the way if talking to them either." Kenji admitted after a bite of porridge. "Saw some kids at the festival yesterday and they seemed normal enough."

"But I'd also think that anybody that lived in this sort of place would be wary of just about anything that moves, and the people here aren't. Makes things seem fairly off."

[Yuzuru Hoto-Hori]

"Not even looked. Took me all day yesterday just checking for portals in the forest and the donkey's speech took wayyyyy too much time."

The last of the porridge was inhale . . . eaten.

"Thanks, Kenji. That was fu . . . . g-great."

[Anjing]

"Yes Kenji, thank you for your hospitality. I'm sure we will meet again in the days to come. Hoto-Hori, I know that was hard, but you did very well. I pray that the spirits will favour you with their knowledge and that the portals you seek can be found with a minimum of fuss."

She makes sure she has everything before standing.
"If either of you need me, you know where to contact me. But if by some miracle I am sleeping I would suggest you leave me be. I am not usually a morning person."

With a pilot nod to the both of them, she made ready to leave.

[Akodo Kenji]

"It was my pleasure Lady Anjing." Kenji said rising from his seat to offer the other woman a bow.

[Yuzuru Hoto-Hori]

It may have been noticed, but Hoto-Hori had never got the memo on bowing. For one it made you take your eye off the egg . . . errr prize and two, it hurt his neck.

"That tea is fabulous, Lady Anjing. Thank you."

Wow . . . not even a bitten off curse, was he learning?
