The Day of Thunder

During the last five years a plague of madness has begun to spread throughout the Empire, feeding on resentment, sadness, and the growing paranoia in the Empire. As time has gone on, people have begun to disappear or change into surreal nightmare versions of themselves. Whole villages have been swallowed by an overlap into the nascent Realm of Nightmares.

In the midst of all this, in an unclaimed area of the Empire near the new border of Crab Lands, a village of no special repute is preparing for a festival. Shinsei has been traveling the Empire in the months previous, giving warnings to specific people that they should attend. The heroes of the Empire now gather in Blue Lotus Village, led by the Little Teacher, unsure of what to expect...
