Sugri is good at the Investigation part but unskilled at Stealth plus I've been in a combat already.

So I'll put myself down as a 'potential alternate' for now unless we have a real lack of willing bodies.

I already got a combat so I'll defer but I'll go as alternate if we are short.

I don't think you've had a combat yet, have you? If not I say grab a slot if you want one.

I can if no one else wants to. I actually have pretty decent rolls on the first two. But combat I am not particularly good at. So, I'll do it if no one else wants to, but more than happy to stand aside for someone who actually has a combat character even if they've had a battle already.

What exactly is an alternate? The person who takes up on the sword should the person with the sword die?

Going in anyway. Kai is very much meh mechanically, to not say awful... But one more meatshield is one more meatshield.

Yep. When someone falls an alternate can step in.

Throwing my lot in as last alternate. Have asked Birb about an idea that might make things... interesting.

If it works, lol.

In terms of the skill rolls:

Investigation: 5k3
Stealth: 7k4-5 (I assume armour penalties apply)
Surprise: 8k4-5 (heavy weapons, not 100% sure how armour vs free raise in full attack would work, assuming no stance bonus from this roll)

A lot will depend on how much we can cheat things with Lucid Dreaming.

5k4 for Investigation. Irrelevant Xk3 for about anything else.

If I do end up Alternating (I kind of want to kill my old character but also want to give folks a chance who missed other combats) I can give 9k3, without Void, towards Investigation but will likely fail Stealth and don't really have anything appropriate for the last so would leave that to someone else.

Ohta is 5k4 investigation, 7k4 stealth. Unless I want to Void either.

For all of the stages, the boi has:
4k3
4k3-5 (Light Armor)
7k4

So not great. But he can run in and flail with TWO SWORDS.

Edit: That being said, my idea for the last roll is memeworthy: Athletics / Strength to entice the Harbinger into fighting.

I think the audience demands that Ranmaru lure the Harbinger into the ambush with the power of flexing.

I also just realized his armor would make it 7k4-5... Which is a lot worse!

How else would a hero of legend face his literal and metaphorical foes? Both of which are demon ladies.

Jumped in as I wasn't in any combats before. That said, could keep as alternate or active depending on what others feel like.

Phone posting and in a bit of a rush so I'm not sure I understood the rolls - do we have to roll all 3? Only 1?

7k4+4 in Investigation and 7k3 in Stealth. Could maybe help with spells during part 1 if necessary (and that'd probably be the best bet for roll 3).

Also I should spend XP I guess
