Naraku was used to turning in early. Good things rarely happened after evening, and in a line of work as his, the cover of darkness was little to no help as many of the monstrosities he had fought had no issue with fighting in the bleak of night.
Yet despite being used to turning in early, the day that had passed had taken its toll on him. Was the voice in the graveyard truly his sister? He knew that it was just a trick, that Kanna would never act like that but a niggling doubt festered inside him. He sighed, retrieving a few leaves from his pouch. Dry Valerian was sure to help him in this pinch and help his mind steel itself. His sister was dead, the corrupted had killed her and he would carry her light.
He smiled as he laid down on his futton, his conscience slowly drifting away as he feel asleep.
