The Day of Thunder

The sight of Shinsei standing there without a face was certainly awful. The mere thought of it was distracting and horrifying. It haunted her nightmares from time to time, as it had for years upon years in the past. There was only one problem for whatever force seemed to be drawing upon the worst fears that the monk might have had. She knew those fears. She knew them far more than she liked to admit, and she lived with them every day.

In the end, much like a dream of falling from the heights, her fears were not something that she couldn't handle. Soon, the rhythmic snoring resumed, Nozomi fast asleep.
