Though the nightmare eventually surpassed even Sugri's mental fortitude and calm the exterior forces driving it were not prepared for what lay within.

Though the mortal man did not succeed at mastering the forces arrayed against him something else stirred and moved and hunted. While one could debate whether its evil was older than Jigoku it was certainly older, and even caged longer, than these new minions of that realm within the dreaming.

A deep, echoing, unearthly roar of anger, rage, and hate in its purest form drives back the alien nightmares from its territory.

If this mortal was to be tortured, or twisted, it would be the one to do so.

Yume-Jigoku does not gain a foothold in Sugri's mind yet but it would be dreadfully wrong to say that the man slept well.
