Being Shaped by the Nightmare - D4

Nozomi found herself within the nightmare once again. It was yet another of the many things that she had seen a thousand times before, horrors that she had nearly experienced first hand. The thought of Shinsei, corrupted, his face nothing more than a featureless, egg-shell like mask, was enough to drive her mad. But now, it was made worse by the thought of him striking down Matsu. yes, she'd survived, but she was being faced with the raw reality of it. At first, she managed to gain just a semblance of control...
But bending the dream to her will was another matter entirely. Her will was strong, but even as she tried to pull out her flute, to calm her nerves, the notes would not come out right. It brought with it the frustration of knowing that she was in a dream, knowing that everything around her was false, hating every moment of it, and finally with all of her pent up frustration? She attempted to physically shatter the dream.
It did not budge.
