Initially, he saw himself returning from Rokugan to the Ivory Kingdoms, bringing back knowledge of their culture, their ways, their fighting styles, and the events of the Day of Thunder. The years pass, and he continues to travel and teach, and eventually pass onto back into the cycle of Samsara.

Time passes for years and yet an instant, as it often does in dreams, and he sees himself again. Or rather, herself, walking along the streets of a busy city. People bustled all around, dressed in a wild mix of clothing from everywhere the mind that is still him can think of. His new self, Matsu Suzuka, wears a shirt with a high collar and long sleeves under a kimono and hakama. She can feel laced leather boots on her feet.

They're all chattering together, something about schooling, and ahead, where they're heading, is a large, traditional by Rokugani standards building that, according to it's sign, housed a medical school.

Matsu Suzuka somehow still had that bow, carried in a case over her shoulder. She knew that one day, she would use it against the corruption that had plagued both of their people. It was her calling in this family. It would bite into demon flesh once more.

The dream ends.

Within the dream Sugri is unaware that it is such and simply lives another life.

Upon awakening the guru considers what he had been shown. There did not seem to be anything within the dream to serve as temptation. Nothing that would make him seek to see the heroes of this age falter or fail. If it was a lie of the darkness it had not succeeded in sowing doubt or dismay. If there was a kernel of truth, well, that raised some cosmological questions but not enough to shake his foundation.

The leather boots were distasteful, sure, but that was hardly a reality shattering revelation even if it were true.

Of course, as unlikely as it may be with all that is happening, it could just be a dream. If the darkness was busy elsewhere and it was simply his mind exploring what he had experienced a focus on the Rokugani would make sense. He had fought beside the Matsu daimyo so he could see why it might anchor on to her in this moment.

The Invindi man shrugs and begins to prepare for the day ahead.
