The Day of Thunder

[Togashi Satsuki]

She wasn't a trailblazer or observant like a seasoned scout. Her best support for her companions was her gift of fire, and as the others looked around, she bit the inside of her mouth to cause some light bleeding, sacrificing her energy to the fire kami.

Satsuki kept an eye open for what the others pointed out, and her enhanced mind raced with thoughts.

Satsuki notices that as they get into the hillier areas around the village, things start looking subtly odd. Spring flowers blooming on a few of the plants, that sort of thing.

Well that didn't seem quite right. Her first instinct was to think that a couple of blooms were braving the still cold weather, but something about it seemed off.

She stopped and waved to the others to show she had found something of interest.

Noticing Satsuki lagging behind, he stops and turns towards her. He moves towards her whilst keeping a lookout.

"What is the matter Togashi-san," he asks in a low hush. "Did you notice something?"

She knelt down to better show the flowers, using the tip of her bow to move them. "The flowers. I don't know... it doesn't seem right for them to bloom right now in this terrain. Spring flowers sure, but they need more sun, more warmth."

Akutou jogs over in time to hear the comment.

"Somebody's dreamin' o' th' comin' season, mebbe?" he posits.

He casts his eyes about, looking for trouble incoming.

Naraku looks at the flowers that Satsuki pointed, trying to find any traces of corruption.

It is rather unnatural for them to bloom so early before spring properly starts, especially in this weather. As you're in the hills... you're likely not far from whatever dreamstone deposit may be nearby.

"This is unnatural," Naraku frowned as he observed the out of season flora. "We must be close to the dreamstone deposit. The corruption here is far more intense," he looks to Ai to see if she has already noticed it.

"Let us find places to put the signaling trap around this zone," he commented and started looking for suitable places.

Having found a few, he went to prepare some signaling traps. "Remember the location"

After having set the traps and preparing the terrain, Naraku picked up pace and headed towards were the deposit seemed to be located.

"It should be around here," he whispered. "Keep your eyes open."

Akutou nods slightly and searches for traces of dreamstone, his eyes piercing the fog and flora...
