The Day of Thunder

[Hiruma Naraku]

Naraku was keen on finding out who might have written the scroll. It obviously had been a woman or someone with very feminine hands. He had thought to see the good doctor before but opted to perhaps talk to his assistant first.

He walked around trying to find Shizuku.

[Canary]

He finds the girl in question sitting on one of the front verandas of the village homes, a crutch sitting next to her and her foot wrapped in bandages. Despite this, she seems cheerful, writing something on parchment with charcoal.

[Hiruma Naraku]

Naraku approaches her, announcing as he does with a small greeting. "How is your foot Shizuku?" he says in a voice as pleasant as his disturbing countenance allows him to.

Should I offer her the candy now? How do you handle a child? Are they like Chuchu?

He looms over her, looking at the scroll. "Do you enjoy writting?"

Now that he looks closer, she's short, but seems to be a young adult. She bowed from her seated position. "Oh, it'll be fine by tomorrow," she said with a smile. Looking down at the parchment, she chuckled. "Well, not exactly that. Practicing basic formulations and dosages. What can I do for you?"

[Hiruma Naraku]

A sense of relief washed down Naraku as he realized it was just a short woman. "Formulations and dosages?" his smile widened. "I always loved that. When I was younger I enjoyed foraging for various plants and bugs to test how would they combine. If you need any help I'd gladly offer it"

"I just wanted to see how you are doing. These past days have been strange to say the least and I believe I never really spoke to you despite visiting Enrou a few times."

[Canary]

"I haven't been there too often until recently," she replied with a smile. "I can't walk around much, so I'm trying to learn while I wait for formally apprentice with him... Although I wish I could. It seems like he could use an extra hand today."

[Hiruma Naraku]

"Honey is an incredibly good anti-septic by the way. Don't need to mix it with anything either. It helps a wound not fester," he commented. "I could share more insights but Enrou would put my knowledge of medicinal herbs to shame."

"I've seen you around Ayako sometimes. I don't know if you heard but she is doing fine. A strong woman like her wouldn't be felled that easily," he smiled before moving on. "By the way Shizuku. Were you born here?"
