There's a lot of stuff, and building all the IC chains necessary is getting to be a bit of a headache.

I'm very much not asking for explicit threads about how these information become now IC, as it would be a damn nightmare. However, I felt like it would be good for most players to have as clear as possible OOC knowledge of what's going on so they can decide what their character knows rather than be put before the fact.

That sounds good, but I am asking for a "the Aunties have this information distributed throughout the camp" so that Hikaru also knows all these things.

Day 1: was a number of folks noticing, rumors about 'those dang kids,' which wasn't super believable. And at least one person questioning lead folks in the village. Night of lots and lots of nightmares.

Day 2: Ritual that set everyone's minds toward their worst fears. Fewer nightmares, but those that there were (or at least that Tai knew of) featured those fears. Add an actual roll with information along the lines that, basically directing everyone's thoughts in a direction could easily influence the dreams/dreamstuff with the realm apparently so close.

Day 3: Anyone already suspicious and avoiding the villagers' ritual food could notice that many of those who avoided it woke to notice the things visiting them, while those who ate it were unable to do things. (Tai's personally only managed to collect a few stories yet on D4). Plus those with wards who woke to sounds of stuff were the only ones who woke and didn't see anything, which indicates something Tainted to those who know how the wards work.

And now rumors that are basically "goodness, the terrible nightmares during the ritual are totally normal." Which might ease one angle of suspicion, but not the efficacy of wards part, or the thought that inducing more nightmares after years of fighting corrupting nighmares might be a ritual that's not exactly working in a benign fashion.

And let's not forget the creepy shrine that can't be visited because 'preparations' with no obvious set of folks up there preparing. And hints of impossible body part regrowth to come. Basically, I think most everyone has at least two of those pieces, and thus reason for suspicion.

Day 2 could be seen as helping. If we don't defeat our fear now, in a relatively secure environment, Jigoku will just eat us alive.

Day 3 however is definitely less easy to see in a good light.

Of course, if we want to put paranoia inside the paranoia, a theory could be elaborated that the intent is to help, but there is a traitor with a different plan in mind.

Getting followed up on *sloooowly* with Enrou...though then it turns out it's Chouri she needs to talk to. Thanks to morning with Anjing thread getting a bit chaotic with injured Ayako, etc. that hasn't been passed along there yet (I think?) Thanks for the reminder. XD Ugh, my schedule this week.

So that earth roll seemed to be about avoiding the taint from the little stabby critters. So...I'm not comforted if the food warded them off, since that means the villagers knew to ward off little tainty critters.

that said, IC we're not terribly aware of that earth roll. If anyone failed it, I haven't chatted with them. And making it meant you wouldn't really notice anything.

Haven't followed the whole thing, but been meaning to take a rank of cooking (and had forgotten to!), and TS sure can cook.

It's also been suggested and it'd be ritualistically interesting (and appropriate for at least dome of us with tribal manners!) to ask the spirits to bless the food and the occasion. TS could help there too!
