Yukara had been largely missing from the climactic moments - her efforts and struggles occurring off screen in a vicious battle for glory in a realm far distant from Rokugan. She'd been dreaming about toy soldiers and strategy games that would've thrilled Makime to no end.
Or something to that effect.
Now that she returned to the scene, she did so with weapon flashing, doing what she had long been best at - culling the lost to make way for the living. She was fully revealed now as part spirit - ghostly ears, jade claws, and twin tails all as naturally a part of her as if they had always been there, the young woman equal parts elegant and terrifying as she mercilessly carved a path to their escape.

There were only a few of them remaining now. Tae-soo saw Otaku riding away from the village on Tsubame, Ohta, who had fought the Harbinger with him earlier in the day... and someone wandering around the forest, seemingly lost. He thought he'd seen him around, but wasn't really sure. One way or another, anyone and everyone here had to leave. The people are the river, the river is the people. He'd do what he could.
And what he could do, now, was helping them get out.
He remember another prayer his grandma had taught him. He wasn't so acquainted with the spirits of the land as he was with the water, but he knew how to ask them for protection, and so he did. He whispered, chanted, to the Land so it would protect those still there, and to the Water so it would keep him strong for this last effort.
Ha-yeong.

When they were all out, even the spirits felt exhausted. He thanked them kindly, for this last favour and for all they'd done for him, even here in this twisted place.
He looked at the River one last time, looked back at the strange village, now basically unmade.
"We made a promise. We hope this keeps it, Gangmul-sshi. Now... let's go!", he said, clutching his furoshiki and feeling the sweat embrace him as he made a run for it.
