"Would need... an enemy? An actual enemy, not a mock enemy. Something I can be all claws and fangs with.

The darkness will certainly send enemies at us soon. But might be too late to set example."

She shook her head, “I don’t do well having others tell me what to do… So I don’t really deserve to tell them what to do either.”

Since I've got one of these weirdly wired human brains, I've learned there were many other sorts of fear. Among them, the one that is most puzzling to me, but that I experience all the same, is that doubt thing, when you don't do something needing to be done before it might not be done well.

It's really a problem from a species whose head is too big for their body. Too much thinking even when thinking is not needed."
